When Bret Royle opened his office for the private practice of law, it was the culmination of years of education and experience. Throughout his legal career, Bret has represented clients charged with from simple misdemeanors to serious complex felonies.
Originally a native of California, Bret received an undergraduate degree from the University of Utah in 2005. Upon graduation, he went to work for the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office, working in sustainability and urban growth. It was working in government that Bret soon realized that his passion was criminal law, and in 2007, he applied to and was accepted at the University of Miami School of Law. While in law school, in addition to strengthening his commitment to representing clients charged with criminal offenses, he was offered the opportunity to work with the International Chamber of Commerce on an arbitration award in Kathmandu, Nepal.
During law school, Bret also interned with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. It was then that he first established roots in Arizona. Upon completion of a summer internship, he went to work with a local criminal defense firm. This allowed him to hone his defense skills, after which Bret opened his own criminal defense practice in 2011, specializing specifically in the areas of Criminal Defense and DUI defense. Since that time, Bret has established a proven track record of success, and he has gained a reputation as one of the premier criminal defense lawyers in the Phoenix area. In 2014 Bret was named to the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers and was listed as a Super Lawyers Rising Star.
