Murat Khudaybergenov focuses on oil, gas, and maritime law. He represents clients in a wide variety of corporate, finance, and commercial matters related to shipping, offshore drilling, marine terminalling and oilfield services. Murat received his JD degree with honors from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) in Uzbekistan, being among 5 best students of his faculty. While a student at UWED, Murat worked as legal consultant at UNDP Legal Clinic, where he provided essential legal services to underprivileged individuals and communities.
Murat’s deep interest in world’s history, economics and geopolitics allowed him to win numerous contests in Uzbekistan, Japan and Russia. Murat also graduated from a prestigious and worldwide reputable Goethe-Institut, where he learnt a German language and culture.
Upon graduation from UWED, Murat obtained several years of litigation experience in one of the world’s leading oil and gas companies LUKOIL.
Murat received his Master’s degree from the University of San-Diego School of Law, where he honed his skills in international contracts, UCC sales & leases, corporations and business transactions. While studying in USD School of Law, Murat had a chance to gain a valuable experience of participating in widely-known Michaels Thornes International Arbitration.
In his free time Murat plays competitive volleyball, reads world historical and classical literature, volunteers for world’s largest sports events, one of which is Olympic Games 2016 in Rio.
